Want to register for CTV message boards and chat with Crime buffs and Trial watchers? GOOD LUCK! CTV message boards are so poorly managed, new registrations are often not possible. Every weekend registration is closed and you will receive a message: Sorry. Registration has been disabled by the administrator. Don't be surprised if you are a week night wanna be and receive the closed registration message. When can you register? Beats me! There is no rhyme or time connected with the limited availability. Howl at the moon or Wish on a star and you would have better luck than trying to guess the mood of the unprofessional and questionable administration of this corporate lost child.
Should you suddenly become as talented as one of Court TV's Psychics and find you can register during some magical time frame; you will be required to accept a Terms of Service agreement. A document someone was probably paid to develop but appears to have little to do with the message board operations. Don't expect rules to be applied evenly without bias. I am very disappointed with the professionalism at Court TV message boards. The moderation of this message board in non-like any message board you will encounter on the internet today. The moderation of this forum fully supports the bias reporting they provide to our public with the trials at hand. The reporting from Court TV is never what you read within the trial transcripts themselves. I am a Time/Warner customer as well as AOL and you would think the paying customers would have some say since we also pay Court TV's salaries.
Registration is a nightmare there. It took me several tries before I was allowed to register and post.
Since being on the board I have noticed quite a few members who get banned then turn around and register with a similar name and are posting within minutes of registering while some have complained of it taking days before they were able to post.
Still others complain of being unfairly banned and having to register new names while some are banned and given their same names back.
Thank you so much for doing this blog.For the last several months I have been compiling my own documents on the outrageous criminal behaviour supported and enhanced by Coldwater the mod at CTV.She has went out of her way to allow gang posses to literally terroize me to the point of causing trauma and injury to me as a poster who agreed to follow the TOS.She has even allowed them to play with one of my old banned nic just to traumatize me further by causing other posters grief and then blaming me for it.On another occasion someone broke into my CTV account and posted a few rude comments, nothing critical and for 6 days Coldwater allowed 7 different threads be dedicated to bashing me endlessly despite my pleas to have them removed.She said she was investigating the matter but oddly there was no result.She also allowed them to have bashing birthday thread dedicated to me and allowed it to stay all day.
I have no doubt she lives vicariously through the evil people on CTV as she watches those of us beg for her assistance. She is dangerous individual and how poetic that she is employed by CTV.I have over 410 documents of posters who should have been banned for outrageous personal attacks and attacks that were allowed to go stay on board despite my many request to have them removed.If you would like to have me send copies of these let me know.Or if you have an address I can send all my documents to I would appreciate that as well.There is ample evidence to the sociopathology of Coldwater the moderator who should be charged for encouraging criminal stalking behaviours on CTV. Thank you again for taking the time to address this very serious matter of unmonitored abuse by message board management.
I agree totally with this entry. There are more than two "Coldwaters" otherwise she is suffering from MPD.
At least one is exceedingly immature, likely sociopathic and hates her job.
I would expect so much more from CTV, but I have learned better.
I have a criminal complaint against cw which is going unanswered. Any ideas on WHO to contact?

There are rules to follow at CTV. Like them or not, they are clearly stated and if you mess up then you get banned. What is so hard to understand about that? If the mod says no bashing then that is what he/she means. If you choose to ignore the warnings, then what do you expect? I find it sad that some here are whining when they have not followed the TOS. It is easy to join again but this time remember to follow the rules.

I believe CW is not an "entity" but 1 person only.
Not only are the message boards run by incompatant mods but so is the live chat room. While every single mod lets three or four chatters verbally abuse, harrass, and curse other chatters to their hearts content, you will however, be booted for using two innocent words together when read in context to the subject. EXAMPLE: I will be heading up your way soon. When taken out of context it looks as if you're saying, "Up yours". How incrediably obtuse is that?
I've never seen a public message board that operates so much like junior high, complete with "time-outs." Amazing. I was on another major message board that was able to handle 7,000 messages, and approximately 50% were critical of the celebrity in charge of the board. Yet not once did anyone get "banned." Free speech is free speech. Moderating the boards in such a personal fashion is incredibly unprofessional. I was banned because I posted a thread questioning why posters were being banned. I guess that stepped on Coldwater's ego. When ego is running the show, then it's not going to be professional or even logical.
Hello, this is Richard Owl Mirror and all I can say is the CTV board surely should not be associated with TIME-WARNER or Court TV.
There is a constant partisan slant to the administration of that board.
As you may know, Coldwater likes to close down the entire board for HOLIDAY's, leaving one thread open for everybody to 'chat'.
This morning I logged in and didn't even have time to finish the post I compiled when I found that one thread had vanished.
I logged out and could see it in an active state but, when I logged in it would disappear. I attempted to both e-mail and PM Coldwater with no results. Then all of a sudden my IP was banned!
I commited no breach of their rules yet, I was BANNED !
I believe it is pure partisan politics that guide Coldwater (whomever that is) since I am an avide poster of all the wrongs and breaches of US Law that the Bush Administration has perpetrated.
That site is being run in a most unprofessional manner!
I wish I knew who within TIME-WARNER I could write and let them know of the way their site is being run.
I am convinced Coldwater is also one of the posters on the political forum. CW doesn't police the boards, she relies on the gangs, who dominate the boards, and email their complaints to her. The politics forum is dominated by far left lunatics and if you aren't into bashing Bush, putting down the troops, hating America, and in total support of the gay agenda you won't last long.
The moderator, flunky for the lunatics, puts up numerous stickys concerning her latest interpretation of the rules which she will only enforce on the conservative (outnumbered 5-1) posters. Regardless of the rule infraction she will not ban any of the lunatics with a high post count, especially those who claim to be dieing of a terminal illness.
I am so glad to find this blog ! there is vast corruption going on with the Moderator on CTV message boards. It's not about following the TOS... don't let anyone kid you, CW bans at random and it's usually is one of the conservative posters ruffles the feathers of one of the poor liberal posters.
Just this week more coverup and fraud. A poster last week claimed that her son died from injuries he suffered in Iraq,he supposedly died in a Germany Hospital.. she gave this huge dramatic story about his injuries, then he went into a coma..of course all this time she is not by his side, but rather posting on a message board.. hmmm.. several members checked out her story by going to the DOD casualty list, no marine by his name dying on the day..hmmm.. several continued to question why his name was not on the out of theater casualty list..hmmm suddenly all the posters who were questioning this "story" were banned and all threads deleted... many of us feel that CW was involved in the coverup. A thread honoring this "hero" was posted on OC and was eventually closed... A relatively new poster posted a thread regarding Iraq Casualites and this poster was banned ! CTV message board..war/politics forum is a joke..it's not a forum to exchange different opinions or free speech... one can follow the TOS and get banned very easily. It's sad though, bc it's usually the good smart intelligent Independents and Conservatives that are banned, while the juvenile pets of CW are allowed to stay. I've complained several times regarding posters and they are never banned, exept one, but she came back and let everyone know she was back.
I am ALSO convinced that CW is one or several of the posters on the board and I also think that she stirs up trouble, because she can.
The best thing CTV could do for it's message board is to REPLACE the moderator with a fair and balanced moderator who is on the level with all posters, not just a select few.

How horrible of CTV making you all post at their message board! There is only about 5 million other message boards on the internet. So I completely understand why you wouldn't want to leave this one.

They use PETA contributors which have known ties by the U.S. Justice Department to domestic terrorist organization Earth Liberation Front. People kept questioning this on their boards. The monitor which went by the screen name Coldwater kept pulling such threads. Then people lit up the blogosphere about it. The layers at Time Warner gave the powers to be a choice at CNN and Court TV (now true TV) a choice, get rid of PETA contributors on their shows, or get rid of the message boards. They chose to get rid of the message boards.
Yesterday, Coldwater was abusive to a poster on open court.
Today, the boards are gone.
I am (at least until yesterday) an active poster and have never been banned. I have seen Coldwater ban people for speaking their minds and I agree that he/she sides with the band of thugs that have their own agenda. They usually do not do any research before posting their drivel and Heaven forbid someone comes in there and thinks the person on trial just may be innocent.
During and after a recent trial, members of another board found out that a juror may have been posting during the trial that he was involved in. Almost immediately after they mentioned this on the other board, that id's posts started disappearing along with any reference by other posters to this id and what that suspected juror said. I have also been told that this happened in at least one other case awhile back. I guess they were trying to cover up for someone breaking the law.
I would understand that if the said poster had asked for his posts to be removed (I don't agree that they should be) but removing other posts that were not in any violation of board or legal rules, was wrong. I don’t think any posts should ever be removed as long as they are not in violation of copyright, legal rules and are not threatening to anyone. If you do not have the guts to stand by what you say then don’t say it in the first place.
What happened to free speech in this country? TruTV my foot.
I am not sure what has happened to the board since yesterday. I and several others received emails saying that our accounts have been locked because someone tried accessing them with incorrect passwords. I am assuming the board was hacked. It has been down since I received the email.
One more thing. I think closing the board for weekends and holidays or whenever Coldwater gets her panties in a wad is very unprofessional and I wouldn’t have my name or company name tied to that board in any way.
I haven't been on the board for quite some time, is that Coldwater person still there? He/she should be fired by now. That was the most unprofessional and bias board I have ever been on in my entire life.. it's a disgrace to the internet. A total abuse of power by the Moderator.
I am also a poster on InSession message boards. When you have been a poster for as long as I have, it is hard to go to another board. I have seen Cold Water do some pretty horrific things on that board. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she (1. Puts others up to stirring up shit so she can swoop in and get rid of people. (2. She posts there under different nics. (3. She ALLOWS the trouble makers (probably her little croanies) to speak the way they want, do what they want and those of us who mind the TOS get banned more often than not because we defend ourselves.
ColdWater is a HORRIBLE mod and truly needs to be replaced. Anyone know who to write to about these problems? Thank you.
This is an old blog but nothing has changed on the InSession Message Board, in fact, since there are less posters CW is even more micro-managing, it's not really a message board for discussion it a big ego trip for the moderator who obviously doesn't have any control in her personal life.. her cronies continue as usual, CW ridicules the conservative posters and allows the left wing posters/members to continually be rude and infringe on the TOS continually. CW just made a crack at a poster on the holiday forum politics related that was totally uncalled for which enabled her cronies to swoop down on the conservative poster, I tell ya, I can't believe that True TV condones this type of behavior. It's appalling and embarassing to have a Moderator represent a board that has the potential to be very informative, positively interactive, if only there was a better moderator.
Those of you who mentioned EGO hit it on the head. I was on the Court TV boards during the Scott Peterson trial but hadn't really been back since then and not at all since it was became the InSession board until just recently. I haven't been banned but WOAH! What happened to Coldwater? I thought she used to do a decent job of moderating back during the Scott Peterson ordeal.
Now it definitely has gone to her head OR she is bipolar OR has bad PMS OR she is menopausal OR she's just a bitch.

Definitely time for her to be replaced. Why do they let someone like that moderate? I know one thing: I haven't been banned, but I won't be spending any more time on that board. I invite you all to review the Michelle Young thread. There is a poster there, Kat4Eagles, who, on a daily basis, baits and harasses posters.
If you respond to her, she twists and turns your posts, announces she is "reporting your post" and before you know it, the thread is closed and posters are banned. She stays. Her posts stay.
She continually bashes the murder victim's sister and mother (which normally is not tolerated on other threads). Its very odd. Its reached a point where we send PM's are sent to long standing posters who decide to post on that thread, warning them that if they disagree with Kat4Eagles, they will be banned-if they don't take our advice, they learn the hard way and wind up banned or on a "time out".
If you report Kat4Eagles, CW tells us to "grow up", "ignore her", etc.....

I see this forum is dated 2005, It is now 2010 and Coldwater is STILL the psychopath that she ever was. I'm ASTONISHED. I too have been on that board for years and have seen all of this. Yesterday I had had enough and was posting my concerns on In Sessions and of course I was banned BUT then Coldwater left a message and it said (to me) "Enjoy your sad life".
There is no recourse and that is exactly why Coldwater does these things. THIS IS A SICK PERSON. Seriously this is a sick person.
Do you want to know WHY someone like Kat4Eagles doesn't get banned? BECAUSE IT IS COLDWATER. This has been long suspicioned that Coldwater uses other nicknames and posts sick things and then bans whole groups of people.
My suggestion is to move on to a different crime site, this is what I'm doing. I don't want to be a part of such sickness.

2010 still, and Coldwater still waves her maguc wand whenever she wants to and makes posters disappear, for whatever reason(s) take her fancy at the moment. After being a member for a year and a hal, and thoroughly enjoying the experience, I was banned yesterday, for reasons unknown and unexplained to me. A fellow poster was banned about three weeks ago for always closing her posts with "just my pesos" CW told them they were OT. Has anyone ever heard anything so ridiculous? I feel like the witch cut off my right arm. In Sessions was somewhere I could go on a daily basis and keep current, especially with missing children's cases, which I am passionate about. Posters build reputations there, for being fair and unbiased, and suddenly they are gone, all their posts end their profile erased, my sister thought I had gone missing when she didn't see me post for two days, and discovered my profile was gone as well.
Ah, well, it's not like this is going to do any good, but I needed the rant.

Why is Coldwater still there? After all the posts on sites such as this, after a petition with 133 signatures (and why was that closed down?), the same problems still exist and so does Coldwater, who is still snotty, still can't put a coherent sentence together with proper spelling or grammars and still enforces the rules arbitrarily. One day it' a rule, the next day it isn't. And FGS, please get some software that allows you to ban the troublemakers permanently! It's an embarrassment to your company that "Joe Smith" is banned and within a half hour, "Joe Smith2" appears. Every other board I go to is able to ban IP #s. What kind of mom-and-pop set up is this??
